Designing
Being able to write programs ('coding’) can be considered as a learning goal in itself, but also as a crucial ingredient of broader skills such as problem solving or designing (‘creating worlds’).
In your working group,
- discuss what students must learn to successfully apply programming in this broader sense, and why this is important, distinguishing
- learning goals
- key concepts
- identify suitable positions in the curriculum (lower/higher grades, etc), and possible success factors, pitfalls, and good practices (suitable learning activities).
